I came to Hon’s Wun Tun House randomly on a weekday. Had a huge selection of comfort food. It looked like a great Chinese breakfast or lunch spot with options like congee, rice rolls, noodle soups, some dim sum. The congee and rice rolls are only available from 8:30 am – 3:00pm. Obviously when you come here you have to try the wonton soup. The wontons were great! I also loved the broth, not too salty, just perfect to drink. I also came to try a claypot dish and was surprised at the quality. The pot came out sizzling and the fish was cooked just right. The prices aren’t as I would expect from a place like this. $12 for the wonton noodles, $18 for the claypot. I would’ve expected cheaper, but I’m not mad about it since the food was really good.
I highly recommend this place for someone looking for an authentic Chinese lunch. Next time I plan to come here for brunch and will see how the other options are.
