😋 Review

Although traditionally a dim sum place, I came here for a Chinese style dinner. Koi Palace is a household name in the Bay Area, far from a small local restaurant. The sweet and sour pork was crispy and nicely decorated with the pineapple. I mainly wanted to showcase a less recognizable, more traditional dish. The short rib and broth were perfection. The atmosphere was nice — you walk in and are greeted by tanks of seafood. The prices are a little bit expensive, as expected for Chinese dinner food, but I believe the quality makes up for it. Everything was authentically cooked and prepared fresh. Rated 3.5 stars on Yelp which was mind blowing to me. I would rate 4.3-4.6. Most reviews I saw were digs at service and price. The food quality was far above 3.5 stars. I aim to focus on more local/cheaper places , but had to check out what all the hype of Koi Palace was about!
