πŸ˜‹ Review

Once again, we’re back in the Richmond area. If you’re getting food from here, it’ll be a much better experience eating in. You’ll get to choose from a variety of authentic claypot choices (eel, Chinese sausage, spare rib, vegetable) and actually eat out of it. This Cantonese style dish is know for its crispy and crunch rice formed from the claypot cooking. I’ll be honest in my visit, there wasn’t as much crisp as I wanted or have seen in other places. Looking back, I should’ve let the post rest a little bit before digging in. From Yelp reviews, the general consensus was that the rice was very crispy. The toppings however were delicious! Perfectly cooked meats and vegetables– the flavor seeped into the rice so every bite was savory.

The major downside of this establishment is the high cost. Around $20 per claypot bowl, which to me is worth it but it’s teetering on too expensive of a price range for lunch. Prices have been climbing as with everything else so it’s not too surprising. An extra plus is that it’s a local business!
